The Deities of Avendar

Avendar is home to a pantheon of immortal beings of great power. Each has their own interests, purposes, and goals, and seeks to further their respective ideology throughout the world. These deities are often associated with specific races, who are usually their earliest or most ardent adherents. Together, the gods of each race help to define the larger questions and beliefs of their racial worldview.

The gods and goddesses of Avendar often take interest in the lives and actions of mortals. Those who seek their favor may receive it if they are worthy, be it in the form of visions, artifacts, or permanent magical sigils and world-wide renown. There are few limits on what deity a mortal can choose to follow, but to be successful, they should be within one step of their chosen god's ethos or alignment.
